Welcome to the landing page for GSLIS 777 – Planning and Delivering Services to Young Adults. This course is part of the four courses required to attain the Certificate in Children's and Young Adult Services in the Public Library from CUNY Queens. Prospective students should consult the Graduate School of Library and Information Science about admission or whether they can take the course through the WISE program at their own library school.
GSLIS 777 Development
The current syllabus of GSLIS 777 was developed by Dr. Lucia Cedeira Serantes and Dr. Mary K Chelton. The material is revised, updated and adapted to the online environment by Michael Buono, MLS, MHRM. Professor Buono works hard to make sure the course has the same spirit as it did when he took it with Dr. Chelton. It focuses on providing services to young adults with empathy, patience and fore thought.
